The Fifty Fifty comedian, Majid Jahangir, who rose to prominence during the golden era of PTV, is currently hospitalized in Lahore due to his deteriorating health. The hard-on-his-luck actor recently gave an exclusive interview to a local YouTube channel to expose the ugly side of the entertainment industry.
He revealed that he had once been invited to a private TV show hosted by Waseem Badami and Iqrar-ul-Hassan on ARY Digital. The show was fund raising telethon to raise money for the aging comedian’s medical expenses. Waseem Badami and Iqrar-ul-Hassan managed to raise over one million rupees for Majid Jahangir during the live show. Waseem Badami also reportedly offered to give the comedian a brand new car so that it would be easier for him to commute to the hospital.
Waseem Badami and Iqrar-ul-Hassan sat down, close to my feet, as if I was a biggest personality and said, “This Toyota Corolla is yours,” (which was in the studio).
He added,I called them repeatedly once the show ended and kept begging for the money and car but they didn’t answer my calls. I requested them to give me at least money for my treatment but they didn’t even bother to give me money. I will hold them accountable hereafter.
